The Oakland 49ers

Apparently the Oakland Coliseum stadium Board or whatever they’re called is looking into building a new stadium that would house two teams. Like as in the Raiders and 49ers.

I guess I’m down, don’t care really, under two stipulations: that you can take a streetcar to get there and that we don’t see any of those types of hats with the two logos split down the middle — think à la Bay Bridge World Series.  Oh and also maybe taxpayers shouldn’t pay for it, maybe, just sayin. For the record: I defy you to find a picture of one of those hats on the internet.  I cannot.

Instead, here’s a green Benz in front of the pot club on 17th:

I found your blog on a search for Bart in Oakland. Being that you live there, I’ve decided to see if you might be able to help me out with a question.

Here in Germany, some public trans is included in the price of soccer tickets for major league games. Is there anything like that with Bart and A’s tickets? Or is there some kind of discount given when taking Bart to A’s games?

Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany.

Sorry for the very late reply. As far as I know there are no such discounts given, though BART use is promoted heavily in advertising by both the SF Giants and Oakland A’s.

Come to think of it, the one discount given is in taking the tram (MUNI) from the BART station to AT&T park (where the Giants play) — I believe there is a special roundtrip price given then, but it’s still not included in ticket prices.
